It is hard to find high-quality Sayama greet tea in tea markets.
Our green tea is made by the best artisans of hand-rolled tea. Hand-rolled teas are not generally available on the market, as only a very small amount of tea can be made at one time, and sometimes the amount of tea leaves that can fill a small Japanese teacup can cost several thousand yen. We are not able to prepare enough tea to sell to our customers. To make it possible for as many people as possible to try our teas, we have prepared teas made on a traditional tea making machine.
This tea is produced in the same place where the animated film My Neighbour Totoro by Studio Ghibli was set, and although the rural landscape of 1950 have changed, the old tea traditions can still be seen.
